Description

Tegaderm Hydrocolloid Thin Dressing may be used as a protective dressing on at-risk skin. This dressing may be used on intact skin to protect from friction. Tegaderm comes with a film border on oval sizes and seals to prevent premature dressing failure due to edge lift. This dressing protects the wound and periwound skin from contaminants, body fluids, bacteria and viruses. In vitro testing shows that the transparent film provides a viral barrier from viruses 27 nm in diameter or larger while the dressing remains intact without leakage.

Suggested applications: partial- and full-thickness dermal ulcers, leg ulcers, superficial wounds, abrasions, first and second-degree burns and donor sites
Also suggested for skin tears, as a protective dressing on at-risk, undamaged skin or on skin beginning to show signs of damage from friction or shear
Breathable outer film layer offers consistently high rate of moisture vapor transmission and decreases potential for skin maceration
Non-adhesive
Sterile wound dressings which consist of a hydrocolloid adhesive with an outer clear adhesive cover film impermeable to liquids, bacteria and viruses
