The 3M Tegaderm CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate I.V. Securement Dressing is an integrated I.V. dressing that combines infection reduction with site visibility, catheter securement, and breathability. The transparent film and gel pad allow for continuous site visibility to easily assess for early signs of infection while the breathable film coating provides a barrier to microbes and external contaminants. This dressing is also proven to reduce CRBSI and vascular catheter colonization, and it provides immediate and continuous antimicrobial protection with its integrated chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) gel pad; plus, it helps keep catheters in place via its large securement tape strip and conforming keyhole notch.
