BorderedFoam Waterproof Bordered Foam Dressing is an island dressing consisting of a highly-absorbent, primary, hydrophilic foam layer with a waterproof, adhesive backing. This unique dressing absorbs up to 20 times its weight in fluids; has mild compression and absorption to manage hyper granulation; features a hydrophilic foam with a wicking ability that decreases maceration; protects and cushions the wound while its waterproof composite secondary layer keeps the dressing in place and prevents contamination; and conforms easily to awkward-to-dress areas while maintaining a moist wound environment. It is designed for the management of exudating partial and full thickness wounds; for partial and full thickness wounds at peritubular surgical wound sites; and for peritubular hyper granulation.
