Aquagel Lubricating Gel

Aquagel is a clear, water-based lubricating gel built for clinical use — catheterization, digital and instrument examinations, thermometer and probe insertion, and any procedure where smooth, low-friction contact protects patient comfort and tissue. It's water-soluble, so it wipes away cleanly and won't leave a greasy residue on skin, gloves, or equipment.

The formulation is deliberately gentle: hypoallergenic, non-irritating, and bacteriostatic to inhibit bacterial growth during use. That combination makes it a dependable choice for sensitive patients and repeated daily procedures in hospitals, long-term care, and home care settings alike.

We carry Aquagel in two practical formats. The 5 oz tube (57-05) is the go-to for exam rooms and bedside carts — a controlled, single-hand dispense that keeps supplies organized and portable. The 1.9-liter pump bottle (57-20) serves higher-volume departments where refilling smaller containers or frequent lubrication makes bulk the more economical call. Both are the same clear, non-sterile, water-based gel; the difference is simply how much you go through and where you use it.

A note on the "non-sterile" label: Aquagel is intended for external and mucosal lubrication in routine procedures, not for use in sterile surgical fields — if your protocol requires a sterile lubricant, choose a product packaged and labeled as such. For most everyday catheter insertions, exams, and instrument prep, non-sterile water-based gel is the standard.

Aquagel pairs naturally with the supplies it's used alongside. Browse our catheters and exam gloves to round out your procedure kit, or explore the wider incontinence and urological range for related care supplies.
