AquaRite CMC Wound Dressings
AquaRite gel-forming dressings solve one of the trickiest parts of wound management: handling exudate without drying out the wound bed or macerating the skin around it. Built on carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) fiber technology, the AquaRite Extra line absorbs drainage and transforms into a soft, cohesive gel that locks fluid vertically — away from healthy peri-wound tissue — while keeping the wound surface reliably moist for autolytic healing.
Clinicians reach for these dressings on moderately to heavily exuding wounds: pressure injuries, diabetic and venous leg ulcers, donor sites, partial-thickness burns, and surgical wounds. The gelling action also makes removal gentler, lifting cleanly with minimal trauma or pain at dressing changes — a real advantage over dressings that dry down and adhere.
