Assura Ostomy Pouches by Coloplast
The Assura line from Coloplast is built around a two-piece drainable system that gives you control over changes, wear time, and skin protection — the things that matter most when a pouch is part of daily life. Every Assura AC pouch in this collection uses the EasiClose closure, a wide, foldable outlet that fastens securely without clips, so emptying and re-sealing is quick and reliable even when your hands are tired.
Choosing the right pouch starts with your stoma size and your baseplate coupling. Assura uses a color-coded flange system so the pouch snaps onto the matching baseplate: you'll see options in the green (1-3/8"), red (2"), and yellow (2-3/4") codes here, in pre-cut stoma openings that let you match the pouch to your measurements. If you're unsure of your coupling size, check the color and diameter printed on your current baseplate rather than guessing.
Capacity and length are the next decision. Midi pouches hold about 470 mL at roughly 10-1/4 inches — discreet under clothing and well suited to daytime and active wear. Maxi pouches hold 600 mL at 11-1/4 inches for overnight security or higher output. Most pouches here are filtered, venting gas through a charcoal filter to reduce ballooning and odor, and you can choose opaque for privacy or transparent when you want to monitor output and stoma condition.
Because Assura is a two-piece system, the pouch is only half of what you need — the baseplate is purchased and changed separately, which lets you swap pouches without disturbing the skin barrier. Browse the full Ostomy Supplies range for compatible baseplates, along with ostomy accessories like skin barrier wipes, powders, and pastes that help extend wear time and protect peristomal skin.
