Baseline Physical Assessment & Diagnostic Instruments

Baseline builds the measurement tools clinicians reach for during hands-on evaluation — the goniometers, monofilaments, oximeters, and scoliometers used every day in physical therapy clinics, rehab settings, primary care, and diabetic foot screenings. If you rely on repeatable, standardized readings to track patient progress or document baseline function, this is where consistency matters most.

Range of motion assessment starts with the Baseline Plastic Goniometers, offered in 6-, 8-, and 12-inch arm lengths with both inch and centimeter graduations and 1° increments. The longer 12-inch arm suits large joints like the hip and knee, while the 6- and 8-inch models handle wrists, fingers, and elbows without excess bulk. Transparent construction lets you line up the axis of rotation directly over the joint for accurate goniometry.

For diabetic and neuropathy screening, the Baseline ADA Monofilament Sensory Test delivers a calibrated 10-gram (5.07 level) force following ADA protocols — the standard method for detecting loss of protective sensation in the feet before ulcers develop. A Tactile Monofilament version is also available for the same 5.07/10-gram threshold testing.
