Bulkee Gauze Bandages & Fluff Sponges

Bulkee is Medline's line of high-absorbency cotton gauze built for wound packing, wrapping, and heavy-drainage dressings. When a wound produces more exudate than a standard flat sponge can handle, these loosely woven, fluffed bandages give you the bulk and wicking capacity to keep the wound bed managed and the surrounding skin dry.

The collection splits into two working families. Bulkee II gauze bandages and Super Fluff sponges — including the sterile Bulkee II bandage (NON25861, NON25850) and the 100% cotton Super Fluff sponges (NON25884, NON25853) — deliver serious absorbency for packing deep or heavily draining wounds and building up cushioned outer layers. Bulkee Lite conforming bandages (NON27499 sterile, NON27494 and NON27495 non-sterile) are the stretchy, form-fitting wrap you reach for over an irregular limb, joint, or a primary dressing that needs to stay put without slipping.

Sterile or non-sterile — which to stock

Reach for sterile Bulkee when the gauze contacts an open wound directly, in post-op care, or in any setting where infection control is the priority. Non-sterile versions (NON25855, NON27494, NON27495) are the economical choice for secondary wrapping, securing dressings, padding, and general clinical use where the gauze doesn't touch broken skin. Many facilities keep both on hand, matching the product to the task rather than defaulting to sterile everywhere.

Because the weave is fluffed rather than tightly packed, Bulkee conforms around contours and expands to fill wound space — a practical advantage over flat gauze when you need volume and drainage capacity together. It's a staple in wound care carts, ER supply, home health kits, and long-term care.
