Comfeel Hydrocolloid Dressings
Comfeel by Coloplast is a hydrocolloid dressing line built for moist wound healing on partial-thickness wounds, pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, and superficial burns. The dressings absorb exudate and form a gel against the wound bed, maintaining the moist environment that supports faster, less painful healing while protecting new tissue and reducing the risk of the dressing sticking at removal.
A common question is how the transparent and ulcer versions differ. The Comfeel Plus Transparent dressings — including the 2 x 2.75 inch (33530) and the thin 4 x 4 inch (33533) — are designed for light-to-moderate exuding wounds where you want to see the wound through the dressing without frequent changes. Their thin, flexible film moves with the skin, making them well-suited to awkward areas and low-friction spots. The Comfeel Plus Ulcer dressing (33110, tan/blue, 4 x 4 inch) is engineered for higher-exudate wounds such as pressure and venous leg ulcers, with greater absorbency and a color change that signals when it's time to change.
How long can a Comfeel dressing stay in place? Wear time depends on exudate levels, but hydrocolloids commonly remain for several days — change when the gel bubble nears the dressing edge or leakage appears, rather than on a fixed daily schedule. This extended wear reduces disturbance to the wound and lowers overall dressing costs.
All dressings in this collection are sterile and individually packaged.
