The Contour Next One system pairs a reliable meter with a smartphone app, giving people who test daily a clearer picture of where their blood sugar is heading. At the center is the Contour Next One Blood Glucose Meter (7818), which uses Ascensia's smartLIGHT feature to show results at a glance: a green, amber, or red light tells you immediately whether a reading is in, above, or below your target range. It connects to the free CONTOUR DIABETES app over Bluetooth, so readings log automatically and can be shared with a caregiver or clinician without manual entry.

Every meter needs its matching strips, and the ones here are made specifically for it. The Contour Next Blood Glucose Test Strips (7310) require a tiny 0.6-microliter blood sample — helpful if you find fingersticks uncomfortable or struggle to draw a large drop — and allow Second-Chance sampling, so you can reapply blood to the same strip within seconds instead of wasting one on an underfilled fill. The Ascensia Contour Test Strips (7312) are also no-coding, meaning there's no calibration step to get wrong between vials.
