Cover-Roll Adhesive Bandages

Cover-Roll is a non-woven adhesive dressing retention tape used to secure gauze, wound pads, IV sites, and primary dressings without wrapping the entire limb. Because it's applied like a second skin, clinicians reach for it when circumferential tape or elastic wraps would be bulky, restrictive, or awkward over joints and irregular contours. Every roll in this collection is white, non-sterile, and radio-transparent, so a dressing can stay in place through X-ray imaging without casting a shadow.

The line splits into two constructions worth understanding before you order. The classic Cover-Roll adhesive bandage (part 02034, 02035, and 02041) uses an acrylic adhesive and comes in generous 10-yard rolls in 2-, 4-, and 6-inch widths — a practical choice for high-volume dressing changes where you want to cut your own lengths. The Cover-Roll Stretch non-woven bandage (45548, 45549, 45550) is a polyester non-woven that flexes and recovers with the body, making it well suited to shoulders, knees, abdomens, and other areas that move; it's stocked in 4-, 6-, and 8-inch widths on 2-yard rolls.

How do you choose a width? Match it to the dressing you're covering plus an overlap margin onto healthy skin on each side — a 2-inch pad is usually secured comfortably by a 4-inch roll, while broad post-surgical or abdominal dressings call for the 6- or 8-inch options. The material conforms and can be gently removed, which helps reduce trauma to fragile or peri-wound skin over repeated changes. Keep in mind these products are non-sterile and intended as a secondary retention layer, not as a primary sterile wound contact dressing.
