DermaSyn Hydrogel Wound Care
Dry wounds don't heal well. DermaSyn is a vitamin E–enriched hydrogel that keeps the wound bed moist — the environment clinicians consistently recommend for supporting the body's natural repair process across partial- and full-thickness wounds, pressure injuries, skin tears, first- and second-degree burns, and abrasions. The water-based formula rinses away easily at dressing changes, so you're not disturbing fragile new tissue.
This collection carries DermaSyn in the formats that match how you actually apply it. The DermaSyn Wound Dressing Gel, 3 oz. (00247) is the workhorse tube for filling wound depressions and coating exposed tissue before a secondary dressing goes on. When a wound is tender or hard to reach, the DermaSyn Hydrogel Spray, 8 oz. (00248) lets you apply an even hydrating layer without touching the site — useful for larger surface areas and painful burns. For wounds where bioburden is a concern, DermaSyn/Ag Silver Antimicrobial Wound Gel (00510) adds ionic silver to the same moist-healing base, helping manage bacteria in the dressing while maintaining hydration.
A common question: how often do you reapply? Most protocols call for a fresh application at each dressing change, typically every one to three days depending on wound condition and drainage, always following your clinician's instructions. Because these are amorphous hydrogels, they suit lightly draining to non-draining wounds best; heavily exudating wounds usually need an absorptive dressing instead.
DermaSyn pairs naturally with a secondary cover dressing to hold the gel in place. Explore compatible options in our Wound Care selection, or browse coordinating Hydrogel Dressings to build a complete moist-healing regimen for home care, clinics, and long-term care settings.
