Enfamil Premature Infant Formula with Iron is a milk-based formula specifically designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of rapidly growing premature or low-birth-weight infants who do not receive human milk. This unique formula has nucleotides patterned after average free nucleotide level in breast milk as well as levels of calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D within the ranges recommended by experts for bone mineralization and growth, and it includes a blend of DHA and ARA (two nutrients also found in breast milk) to help support brain and eye development and to help support blood DHA concentration; plus, it also includes 40% medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) oil to promote fat absorption.
