Hollister FormaFlex Ostomy Barriers

The Hollister FormaFlex line brings a genuinely different approach to skin barriers: instead of cutting the opening with scissors, you shape the moldable barrier with your fingers to match your stoma exactly. That snug, custom fit is what protects the delicate peristomal skin from leakage and effluent — the single biggest reason ostomy wear becomes uncomfortable or fails early.

Every FormaFlex barrier featured here is extended wear, meaning the skin barrier is formulated to stand up to more aggressive output and longer wear time before a change is needed. All are latex free and shape-to-fit, so you're never locked into a pre-sized opening as your stoma changes shape in the weeks after surgery.

Fitting into the Hollister New Image two-piece system, these barriers use the color-coded flange sizing that makes matching a pouch straightforward. We carry the 44mm beige barrier (accommodating openings up to 1-1/4"), the 57mm Red Code System barrier (up to 1-11/16"), and the 70mm Blue Code System barrier (up to 2.25"). To pair a barrier with the right pouch, simply match the flange size and color — the Red barrier connects to Red-coded pouches, Blue to Blue, and so on. If you're unsure of your flange size, measure the plastic ring on your current pouch, not your stoma.

Because the barrier is molded rather than cut, there are no sharp edges to irritate skin, and the material rolls back to hug the stoma base for a leak-resistant seal. This makes FormaFlex a strong choice for stomas that are irregularly shaped, retracted, or still settling.
