Glen-Sleeve II Protective Arm & Leg Sleeves
Fragile, aging, or medically compromised skin bruises and tears at the slightest bump — and once it does, healing is slow. Glen-Sleeve II protective sleeves add a soft, breathable layer of defense over vulnerable arms and lower legs, helping guard against the skin tears, shearing, and abrasions that turn everyday movement into a wound-care problem. They're a practical choice for patients on blood thinners, those with paper-thin skin, and anyone prone to bumping into wheelchair frames, bed rails, or furniture.
The collection covers both common problem areas. The Glen-Sleeve II Protective Arm Sleeve (GL1000WP) measures 3" wide by 13.5" long in a cotton/polypropylene blend, cushioning the hand, wrist, and forearm where skin tears cluster. The Glen-Sleeve II Protective Leg Sleeve (GL3000) is a one-size-fits-most cotton/Lycra sleeve, 15" long by 3.5" wide, designed to sit below the knee and protect the shin and lower leg — a frequent site of injury during transfers and repositioning.
Because the fabric is soft and stretch-fitted rather than rigid, these sleeves stay comfortable for all-day wear and won't restrict circulation the way tight wraps can. They pull on easily, launder and reuse well, and layer discreetly under clothing. The Lycra content in the leg sleeve helps it stay in place without slipping, while the arm sleeve's snug knit resists bunching. For caregivers, that means fewer dressing changes and less bruising to manage; for patients, it means keeping more independence without constant worry about the next scrape.
