Ice It! Cold Therapy Systems
When swelling, sprains, or post-workout soreness flare up, the Battle Creek Ice It! line delivers targeted cold therapy that actually stays put. Each ColdCOMFORT system pairs a flexible, freezer-cooled gel pack with a fabric cover and sewn-in straps, so the cold conforms to the joint instead of sliding off it — a real advantage over loose ice bags when you need to keep moving or elevate a limb.
The right size depends on where it hurts. The Ice It! Wrist System (570) is built around a 4.5 x 7 inch pack with three straps for a snug hand-and-wrist fit, while the ColdCOMFORT Ankle/Elbow/Foot system (514) at 10.5 x 13 inches wraps larger, awkward joints. For the back, hip, or abdomen, the 6 x 9 inch 540 and larger X-Large 550 systems cover broad areas comfortably. Most Ice It! packs stay cold for roughly 20 minutes — the standard window for a safe icing session — then go right back in the freezer for reuse.
A common question: do you need to replace the whole system when a pack wears out? No. Refill and spare packs like the E*Pack (502) and the double-sided E Pack (522), both 6 x 12 inch reusable latex-free vinyl gel packs, drop straight into your existing MaxCOMFORT or ColdCOMFORT cover — so you can keep one chilling while another's in use.
The gel stays pliable when frozen, letting it mold to elbows, knees, and shoulders rather than freezing into a rigid block. Rinse the cover as needed and store packs flat in the freezer between uses.
