MT Spandage Tubular Retainer Net
Taping a dressing in place gets awkward fast on a fingertip, a shoulder, or a torso — tape pulls at fragile skin, slides off with movement, and has to be reapplied every time you check the wound. MT Spandage from Medi-Tech International solves that with elastic tubular net that stretches over the dressing and holds it snugly without adhesive. Slide it on, and it conforms to the contour underneath while letting skin breathe and letting you lift the net to inspect or change a dressing without starting over.
The whole line comes down to matching the size to the body part. MT Spandage runs numerically from small to large, and each size maps to a specific area: Size 1 (MT01) fits an average finger, toe, or wrist; Size 2 (MT02) covers a typical hand, arm, leg, or foot; Sizes 5 and 6 handle heads, shoulders, and thighs; and Sizes 8 through 12 scale up across chest, back, perineum, and axilla for average through 3X-large builds. There's also an elastic net dressing in a 30-yard length (MT07) for continuous cutting to length.
Every option is white, non-sterile, latex construction supplied in 25-yard stretched rolls, so you cut only what a given application needs and reuse the retainer through multiple dressing changes — a real cost advantage over disposable tape in high-volume wound care, burn units, and long-term care settings. Because the net washes and returns to shape, one roll covers a lot of dressings.
Not sure which numbers you'll need? Ordering two or three adjacent sizes covers most patients and body areas on a single unit. Browse the full Spandage range to compare sizing and stock the roll lengths that fit your caseload.
