Modulen is a nutritionally complete powdered formula for the special dietary use of individuals with Crohn's disease who choose to follow an enteral diet as either a sole or partial source of nutrition under medical supervision. Modulen meets criteria for partial enteral nutrition (PEN) as part of the Crohn's Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED); provides flexible caloric density; and can be mixed to provide 1.0 or 1.5kcal per milliliter to meet nutritional needs. This unique powdered formula contains essential vitamins and minerals including calcium and vitamin D to support strong bones and is suitable for lactose-free, gluten-free, and Halal diets and individuals greater than 5 years of age, but it does not have any artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors.
