Vivonex T.E.N is a 100% free amino acid, nutritionally complete formula that provides nutritional support for individuals under medical supervision with severely impaired GI function such as transitional feeding; extensive bowel resection; severe protein, fat malabsorption; malabsorption syndrome; select trauma/surgery; early post-operative feeding; intestinal failure; pancreatitis; chylothorax; trophic feeding; TPN alternative; and/or dual feeding with TPN. Only 3% of its calories are from fat to help support gastric emptying and reduce pancreatic stimulation and require minimal digestive functionality for assimilation while providing benefits associated with continued use of the GI tract, and it may be used for tube feeding or oral supplementation and is suitable for lactose-free, gluten-free, low-residue, and kosher diets and for individuals older than 3 years of age.
