No-Sting Skin-Prep is an alcohol-free, liquid, film-forming skin preparation that upon application to intact or damaged skin forms a protective interface that helps prepare skin attachment sites for drainage tubes, external catheters, surrounding ostomy sites, and other adhesive dressings, and it protects skin from incontinence, skin trauma from tape stripping, and friction and also reduces the potential for stinging; however, it removes easily using skin cleanser or soap and water, so unsanitary residue is not left in or around the wound area. Plus, its thick formula means only one coat is needed to form a protective film, so patients are more comfortable during application. This unique skin preparation also moves naturally with patients' skin; won't crack or peel; is fast drying which extends dressing wear time; has transparent coverage which provides visual skin inspection; and may be used on adults, children, and full-term infants from one month of age.
