These dressings feature fast-wicking layers that quickly draw exudate into a superabsorbent core, effectively absorbing and retaining significant amounts of fluid. The wound contact layer is made of hydrophilic fibers that actively attract exudate, promoting rapid wicking away from the wound bed. The storage layer contains superabsorbent polyacrylate fibers that can hold large volumes of fluid, helping to maintain a moist wound environment without maceration. A blue, nonocclusive top layer serves as a visual indicator for correct dressing application.
