Impact provides nutritional support for individuals at risk of infection associated with major surgery or critical illness and/or with trauma, burns, wounds or transitioning to early enteral feeding. Impact is the only formula that contains a unique evidence-based blend of arginine, omega-3 fatty acids, and nucleotides proven to support the immune response to support the body during times of critical illness; it has been shown in multiple clinical trials to support the immune system and help reduce rates of infection, ventilator days, and LOS. Impact is suitable for lactose-intolerant, gluten-free, low-residue, halal, and kosher diets; however, it is not formulated for individuals with galactosemia, is intended for use under medical supervision, and is not indicated when immune suppression is desired.
