Orficast Moldable Thermoplastic Tape

Orficast is a knitted, thermoplastic tape used by hand therapists and occupational therapists to fabricate custom orthoses directly on the patient. Unlike rigid splinting sheets, it activates in warm water within seconds, drapes closely around fingers, thumbs, and small joints, and cools into a lightweight, breathable support — making it a go-to for fingers, thumbs, and other hard-to-fit areas where a full splint would be bulky or impractical.

Because the material is elastic and self-bonding, therapists can wrap, layer, and reinforce it without adhesives or straps, then remould it if the fit needs adjusting.
