Polyderm Foam Wound Dressings by DeRoyal

Managing a moderately to heavily exuding wound comes down to two things: absorbing drainage without letting it pool against the skin, and protecting the wound bed and surrounding tissue while healing progresses. The DeRoyal Polyderm line of hydrophilic polyurethane foam dressings is built for exactly this. Each dressing draws in exudate, cushions the wound, and maintains a moist healing environment — all while being latex-free and sterile, making it a dependable choice for pressure injuries, leg ulcers, surgical sites, and skin tears in both clinical and home-care settings.

These are non-adhesive dressings, which matters for fragile or already-compromised skin. Rather than sticking directly to the wound or peri-wound area, they rely on a secondary wrap, tape, or compression to hold them in place — reducing trauma at each dressing change. The bordered options add a soft foam margin for a cleaner fit around the wound edge.

Choosing between formats is mostly about wound shape, depth, and drainage level. The Polyderm Border Fenestrated Round (46-908), a 4-inch disc with a central opening, works well around drains, tubes, or protruding sites. The Polyderm Border Square 4 x 4 inch (46-915) suits flatter wounds needing straightforward coverage. For larger or wetter wounds, the 6 x 6 inch bordered dressing (46-916) pairs a 3¾-inch foam pad with a wider border. When you need an added moisture barrier, Polyderm Plus (46-926) includes a breathable film backing that blocks outside contaminants while still letting the wound breathe.

All Polyderm dressings arrive sterile and individually packaged. If you're stocking a broader wound-care cabinet, browse our full Wound Care range to pair these foams with cleansers, secondary dressings, and securement supplies.
