The most common question buyers ask is which active ingredient they need. Provon offers two: PCMX (chloroxylenol), found in foaming refills like the 8825-03 (0.5%) and the 5286-02 for FMX-20 dispensers, and CHG (2% chlorhexidine gluconate) in the unscented 1922-02 foam handwash for the LTX-12—a preferred choice where persistent, cumulative antimicrobial action matters, such as pre-procedure hand hygiene. Chloroxylenol lotion soaps like the 4303-12 (16 oz pump) and the citrus-scented 4301-48 (4 oz) suit counters and smaller stations where a self-contained bottle is simpler than a wall unit.
