Medline Qwick Superabsorbent Wound Dressings
When a wound produces more drainage than a standard pad can hold, the challenge isn't just absorption — it's keeping that fluid locked away from the skin so the surrounding tissue doesn't break down. The Medline Qwick line of nonadhesive superabsorbent dressings is built for exactly that situation, pulling exudate into a locking core that holds it under compression rather than releasing it back onto the wound bed.
The featured 6.125 x 8 inch pads (MSC5868 and MSC5868Z) are designed for moderate to heavily exuding wounds and can be used as a primary dressing directly on the wound or as a secondary layer over alginates, hydrofibers, or contact layers. Because they're nonadhesive, they lift away without pulling at fragile skin or disrupting new tissue — a real advantage for patients with compromised peri-wound skin, leg ulcers, or pressure injuries who need frequent changes.
