B. Braun Safsite Needle-Free Valves & Extension Sets
The B. Braun Safsite system gives clinicians a reliable needle-free option for accessing IV lines without exposing staff to sharps. Built around a bidirectional split-septum valve, Safsite components let you connect syringes, secondary sets, and administration lines through a swabbable port—no needles, no repeated site punctures, and a lower risk of accidental needlestick injuries.
The Safsite Valve (415067) is the core of the system: a needle-free luer-activated valve that opens on connection and reseals when disconnected, helping maintain a closed, contamination-resistant fluid path. Its straight fluid pathway is designed to minimize dead space and support consistent flow. For extending access away from the catheter hub, the Safsite Extension Set (472060) pairs a small-bore, 7-1/2 inch length of tubing with a slide clamp and a single needleless port. With a low 0.52 mL priming volume, it's well suited to applications where minimizing fluid retention matters, and the slide clamp gives quick, tool-free line control.
