Keeping a cast or wound dressing dry is the single hardest part of showering with a broken arm or a healing incision — and it's exactly what SEAL-TIGHT protectors from BrownMed are built to solve. Each protector uses a flexible, one-piece design that slides over the arm or leg and forms a watertight seal against the skin, so you can bathe, shower, or soak without soggy plaster or slipped bandages.

The line splits into two material families. The classic polyvinyl protectors, like the Seal-Tight Arm Cast Protector (20102) and the pediatric-sized 20201 and 20202, are clear, lightweight, and reusable — you can see the cast underneath and check the fit at a glance. The newer thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) models, such as the Seal Tight Arm Cast Cover (20321) and Knee Cast Protector (20326), stretch more easily, seal without a separate pump, and hold up to repeated daily use. Both types are latex-free.

Getting the size right matters more than the color. SEAL-TIGHT protectors seal at the limb above the cast, so measure the circumference of your upper arm or thigh — not the cast itself. The 20319 dressing protector, for example, fits a 15–22 inch upper-arm circumference, while the large knee protector covers 22–26 inch thighs. Short versions (like the 21-inch 20320) suit lower-arm casts; long and pediatric-length covers handle full-arm or leg casts. When a limb falls between sizes, size up so the seal isn't stretched too tight to grip.

Because they're reusable, a single protector easily lasts the full six-to-eight-week healing window, making them far more economical than disposable bags or improvised plastic wrap.
