Seasorb Soft is Coloplast's line of calcium alginate wound dressings, engineered for moderately to heavily exuding wounds where fluid management makes the difference between stalled and progressing healing. Made from a blend of calcium alginate and CMC (carboxymethylcellulose), these dressings gel on contact with wound exudate, absorbing large volumes while maintaining the moist environment that supports granulation and reduces the risk of maceration to surrounding skin.

Clinicians reach for alginate dressings on pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers, surgical wounds healing by secondary intention, and donor sites. The gelling action also lends gentle hemostatic support on lightly bleeding wounds.
