Sheridan HVT Endotracheal Tubes

The Sheridan HVT line from Teleflex delivers high-volume, low-pressure (HVLP) cuffed endotracheal tubes engineered for reliable airway management during intubation, mechanical ventilation, and surgical anesthesia. The "HVT" designation reflects the high-volume cuff design, which distributes sealing pressure across a broader tracheal surface area to help reduce the risk of mucosal injury during extended intubation.

Each tube in this collection is a clear, curved plastic device with a Murphy eye — the secondary side port that maintains ventilation should the beveled tip become occluded against the tracheal wall. Radiopaque markings and clear construction let clinicians confirm placement and monitor for secretions or condensation. All are supplied sterile for single-patient use and are suitable for oral or nasal intubation in adult patients.

Sizing here follows internal diameter (ID), the standard clinicians select by. This collection spans the common adult range, including the 6.5 mm ID (8.9 mm OD, 291 mm length), the frequently stocked 7.0 mm ID (9.6 mm OD, 313 mm length), and the 8.0 mm ID (10.9 mm OD, 330 mm length). Length increases with diameter to match adult tracheal anatomy, and each tube is individually catalog-numbered — such as 5-10313, 5-10314, and 5-10316 — to simplify reordering the exact specification your protocol calls for.

When selecting a size, most adult females are managed with a 7.0–7.5 mm ID and most adult males with a 7.5–8.0 mm ID, though airway assessment and procedure type should guide the final choice. Because these are cuffed HVLP tubes, cuff pressure should be monitored to keep the seal effective without compromising tracheal perfusion.

Teleflex builds several Sheridan airway platforms for different clinical needs. If your case calls for a preformed tube that directs the circuit away from the surgical field, review the Sheridan CF line, or explore the Sheridan LTS tubes for laser-resistant applications.
