Cardinal Health Silicone Contact Layer Dressings are sterile, primary wound dressings designed to facilitate fluid transfer and provide gentle fixation and protection to the wound bed. These dressings feature a conformable, open mesh structure with a gentle silicone adhesive, ensuring secure placement without causing trauma upon removal. They are indicated for a wide variety of partial to full thickness wounds, including skin tears, venous ulcers, surgical wounds, and first and second-degree burns. By allowing exudate to pass through to a secondary dressing, while maintaining a protective barrier over the wound, these dressings promote an optimal healing environment. They can be worn for up to 7 days, minimizing the frequency of dressing changes.
