Solis Mammography Radiology Skin Markers & Swabsticks

Accurate mammography and tomosynthesis imaging depends on clearly communicating what the radiologist is seeing — a nipple, a mole, a palpable lump, a surgical scar. Solis Mammography skin markers give technologists a consistent, color-coded vocabulary for exactly that, so anatomy and areas of concern are unmistakable on every view.

The Xact Radiology Skin Marker line covers the markers a breast imaging suite reaches for daily. Metal-BB nipple markers in blue (M20S) and purple (M15S) pinpoint the nipple with a dense radiopaque bead, while low-artifact plastic-BB versions in yellow (M20SC, M23SC) are designed for tomosynthesis where a smaller, cleaner signature matters. Orange circle markers (M15RM, M15RT) identify moles and skin lesions, and the red perforated plastic scar marker (M10LT) traces surgical scars so they aren't mistaken for a suspicious finding. Each is single-use and non-sterile, keeping the workflow simple and cross-contamination controlled.

Choosing the right marker comes down to what you're marking and which system you're using. For standard 2D mammography, the metal-BB nipple markers deliver maximum radiopacity. For 3D tomosynthesis, the plastic-BB options minimize artifact and blooming across reconstructed slices — several Solis markers are labeled for both modalities to simplify stocking. The color coding lets radiologists interpret placement at a glance without cross-referencing notes.

Rounding out the collection, Solis Micro-Tip Swabsticks (6-inch wood shaft, cotton tip) handle prep, cleaning, and fine application tasks around the imaging station.
