Tg Tubular Bandages by Lohmann & Rauscher
Tubular bandaging solves a problem that traditional roll gauze struggles with: securing dressings on awkward, mobile body parts without constant rewrapping. The Tg line from Lohmann & Rauscher gives clinicians and home caregivers a full system of seamless tubular fabrics and elasticated net retention bandages, each engineered for a specific job — holding a dressing in place, applying gentle compression, or forming a supportive layer under a cast.
Three distinct product families make up this collection, and knowing the difference is what gets you the right fit:
- Tg Tubular Bandages — a soft, seamless knitted tube (such as the latex-free Size 9, 3.3 in x 22 yd) used as a protective liner under casts and orthopedic appliances, or as a lightweight dressing cover.
- Tg Grip Elasticated Tubular Support — air-permeable, widthwise-elastic tubes in sizes D through J, offering graduated support for sprains, edema, and general limb compression on arms, lower legs, thighs, and small trunks.
- Tg Fix & Tg Tubular Net — open-weave net bandages that stretch to conform and hold dressings on the head, extremities, or trunk, available folded in cardboard dispensers (Sizes C and D) or rolled net rolls (Sizes 12, K1, K2).
Sizing is by circumference and application area rather than a single measurement, so a size that fits a large extremity differs from one meant for a small trunk. Note the material as well: several Tg Fix net bandages contain latex, while the Tg tubular and larger net rolls are latex-free — an important distinction for sensitive patients and facility protocols.
Because the elasticated and net styles are washable and reusable, they're economical for extended treatment plans where dressings are changed frequently. Explore related retention and wrapping options in our bandages and broader wound care collections to complete your dressing kit.
