TheraBond 3D Antimicrobial Silver Dressings
TheraBond 3D from Argentum Medical is an antimicrobial contact layer built around a distinctive three-dimensional silver-coated nylon fabric. The spacer construction lifts the dressing off the wound bed, allowing exudate to pass vertically into a secondary absorbent dressing rather than pooling at the surface. For clinicians managing partial- and full-thickness wounds, burns, skin grafts, donor sites, and surgical incisions, that combination of silver antimicrobial action and lateral wicking is what sets this product line apart from flat silver dressings.
The silver in TheraBond 3D provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection against a wide range of bacteria, helping reduce bioburden in the wound and on the dressing itself. Because the 3D fabric keeps moisture moving away from the wound surface, it helps maintain a balanced healing environment and can reduce the risk of maceration at the wound margins—a frequent concern with heavily exuding wounds.
This collection carries the sterile, non-adhesive, borderless versions in two practical sizes. The 4.25 x 4.25 inch square dressing (3DAC-44) suits smaller or contoured wounds and works well tucked into cavity areas, while the 4 x 8 inch rectangle (3DAC-48) covers longer surgical lines, donor sites, and larger burn areas. Both are gray, non-adhesive contact layers designed to be paired with a cover dressing and secured with your choice of retention product.
