UrgoTul Wound Dressings
When a wound bed is fragile and every dressing change risks tearing away new tissue, the surface that touches the wound matters most. UrgoTul dressings are built around Urgo's Lipido-Colloid Technology (TLC), a mesh impregnated with hydrocolloid particles and petrolatum that turns into a soothing gel on contact with exudate. The result is a non-adherent interface that keeps the wound bed moist, protects delicate granulation tissue, and lifts off atraumatically — so clinicians can inspect and re-dress without the pain and setbacks of a dressing that sticks.
This collection covers two distinct roles in a wound-care protocol. The UrgoTul Ag/Silver Contact Layer (4 x 5 in, #509341; 6 x 8 in, #509342) is a non-adhesive, borderless layer that combines the TLC healing matrix with silver salts for antimicrobial action — a strong choice for colonized or infection-risk wounds where you still want a secondary dressing over the top. It sits directly on the wound and adapts to the contours of the bed.
For wounds producing moderate to heavy drainage, the UrgoTul Absorb Border Foam Dressing pairs that same gentle contact layer with an absorbent foam pad and a silicone border that secures without traumatizing surrounding skin. It's available in 4 x 4 (#550762), 6 x 6 (#550763), and 6 x 8 inch (#550764) sizes, plus a shaped 8 x 8 sacral version (#550765) designed to stay put over the pressure-prone sacrum. All are sterile and single-use.
Choosing between them comes down to exudate and the need for infection control: the silver contact layer for antimicrobial coverage under a separate cover, the bordered foam when you need absorption and self-fixation in one dressing. Both suit pressure injuries, skin tears, surgical wounds, and chronic ulcers. Explore related options in our Foam Dressings and Silver Dressings collections.
