PARI Vortex Holding Chambers & Masks
The PARI Vortex line solves a problem every parent, caregiver, and respiratory patient runs into with metered-dose inhalers: getting the medication into the lungs instead of the back of the throat. A holding chamber (also called a valved holding chamber or spacer) holds the aerosolized dose in suspension so the patient can inhale it fully and at their own pace — no perfect timing between puff and breath required.
What sets the Vortex apart is its antistatic aluminum construction. Unlike plastic spacers that build up an electrostatic charge and cling to medication particles, the Vortex chamber won't attract and hold the dose to its walls, so more of each puff actually reaches the airways. Its cyclone-shaped internal design gently swirls the aerosol, and the chamber is validated with common MDIs used for asthma and COPD.
This collection includes the Pari Vortex Holding Chamber with Mask (051F7200), a complete ready-to-use system, along with replacement Vortex Chamber Masks (44F7247) in a one-size-fits-most adult version for those who need to swap out a worn or lost mask without buying a whole new chamber. A mask is essential for patients — young children, the elderly, or anyone who can't reliably seal their lips around a mouthpiece — where a snug facial seal makes the difference between an effective dose and a wasted one.
A few things buyers commonly ask: the Vortex chamber is durable and washable, holding up to repeated cleaning far better than disposable spacers, and it works with standard MDI canisters rather than a single proprietary inhaler. When choosing, decide whether you need the full chamber-and-mask kit or just a replacement mask for a chamber you already own.
