3M Microfoam Surgical Tape is a conformable, elastic foam tape which consists of closed-cell foam that stretches for compression applications and/or securing dressings on challenging areas, and it is also designed to stretch and conform while providing secure adhesion to joints and/or skin folds; its all direction stretchability provides additional comfort. This highly conformable tape also gives with swelling to help prevent mechanical injury to skin, and it is water-resistant, hypoallergenic, and neither it nor its packaging contain natural rubber latex or dry natural rubber; most other elastic tapes in this class are made with natural rubber adhesives.
Suggested Applications:
Securing dressings on sites where movement is likely such as over joints and other challenging areas
Securing compression dressings to assist in hemostasis or control edema (e.g. cardiovascular/angio sites, breast biopsies, orthopedic, thoracic, and abdominal surgical dressing
Provide cushioning as needed
