This McKesson Lite Hydrocellular Foam Dressing maintains a moist wound environment to help promote better healing via its absorbent inner hydrocellular foam pad and breathable yet moisture and bacteria resistant outer film layer, and its silicone adhesive is formulated to adhere to the surrounding skin but not to the wound bed thereby minimizing pain and the risk of damage to the wound area; it seals the wound margins to help prevent exudate from leaking on surrounding tissue thus minimizing the risk of maceration. This unique dressing accommodates a wide range of acute and chronic wounds with low/light levels of exudate such as venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and traumatic wounds, and although it may be lifted and repositioned without losing its adherent properties thanks to its perforated, silicone, gel adhesive that provides gentle but firm adhesion, this dressing removes with minimal risk of trauma to the wound and/or surrounding skin.
