peptamen junior 1.5 is a nutritionally complete peptide-based elemental formula for tube feeding or oral supplementation for children ages 1 to 13 with impaired gi function such as short bowel syndrome, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, crohns disease, malabsorption, chronic diarrhea, delayed gastric emptying, growth failure, critical illness/trauma, transplants, volume/fluid restrictions, early enteral feeding, bowel management needs, or transitioning from tpn. this unique formula contains enzymatically hydrolyzed 100% whey protein which may facilitate gastric emptying; calcilock (a blend of essential nutrients to support healthy bone development); 6 grams per liter partially hydrolyzed guar gum soluble fiber; 60% of fat from mct to decrease the potential for fat malabsorption, and it meets the 2011 iom recommendations for calcium and vitamin d and provides 600 milligrams per liter of epa and dha to help modulate pro-inflammatory mediators. peptamen junior 1.5 is suitable for lactose-intolerant and gluten-free diets, but it is not formulated for individuals with galactosemia; not appropriate for individuals with cows' milk protein allergy; and is intended for use under medical supervision.
