This unique formula's additional free glutamine, enhanced arginine, and branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) contents make it especially useful in stressed, catabolic patients. Since this unique formula requires minimal digestive functionality for assimilation while providing benefits associated with continued use of the GI tract, it provides nutritional support for individuals with severely impaired GI function such as severe protein/fat malabsorption, transitional feeding, extensive bowel resection, malabsorption syndrome, select trauma/surgery, early post-operative feeding, intestinal failure, pancreatitis, chylothorax, trophic feeding, TPN alternative, or dual feeding with TPN.
