Aircast FP Walker Pneumatic Walker Boot

The Aircast FP Walker is a fixed-position pneumatic walker boot built for stable immobilization after a stable foot or ankle fracture, severe sprain, or post-surgical recovery. The "FP" stands for fixed position — this boot holds the foot at a set angle rather than allowing the rocker motion of a standard CAM walker, making it a common choice when a clinician wants firmer control during the earliest phase of healing.

What sets the Aircast design apart is its integrated aircell system. Adjustable pneumatic cells line the boot interior, letting the wearer add or release air to control compression around the injury. This helps manage edema, improves comfort as swelling changes throughout the day, and keeps the limb securely supported inside the semi-rigid foam and plastic shell. The D-ring hook-and-loop strap closure makes the boot easy to open fully, position, and re-secure without struggling — a real advantage for patients managing a fresh injury or a bandaged limb.

Each boot is universal left/right and comes in gray. Sizing follows shoe size: Small (01F-S) fits Male 4–7 / Female 5–8, Large (01F-L) fits Male 10–13 / Female 11–15, and X-Large (01F-XL) fits Male 13 & up / Female 15 & up. Always match the boot to the patient's regular shoe size, and confirm the fixed-position style is appropriate for the diagnosis, since some protocols call for a rocker-sole walker instead.

Buyers deciding between styles often compare the fixed-position FP against a rocker-bottom option — see our CAM Walker selection for boots that permit a more natural gait, or the SP Walker for another short pneumatic profile.
