Mepitel Wound Contact Layer Dressings

Mepitel by Mölnlycke is a soft silicone wound contact layer designed to protect fragile healing tissue while allowing exudate to pass through into a secondary absorbent dressing. Because the Safetac silicone adheres gently to dry skin but not to the moist wound bed, dressing changes cause minimal pain and won't strip newly formed cells — a meaningful advantage for burns, skin tears, blistering conditions, and patients with delicate or aging skin.

This collection focuses on the antimicrobial Mepitel Ag line, which combines that same atraumatic silicone net with silver to help manage wounds where infection is a concern. The silver-impregnated polyamide net delivers sustained antimicrobial action while the transparent, conformable structure lets clinicians monitor the wound without lifting the contact layer. Available sizes include 2" x 3" (390590), 3" x 4" (390790), 4" x 5" (390090), 4" x 7" (391090), and larger 8" x 12" (392090) sheets for extensive wounds — all sterile, latex-free, and packaged for single use.
