Smith and Nephew Opsite Flexifix is a roll of transparent adhesive film that has been designed to allow the easy application of the film to awkward areas of the body and over dressings and tubes. It is waterproof, conformable, and aids in the prevention of bacterial contamination, and it provides excellent adherence (even while the patient is bathing). Moreover, its high moisture vapor permeability helps prevent the accumulation of perspiration and fluid under the dressing while its acrylic adhesive minimizes the risk of skin damage on removal (especially after long periods of wear). This unique adhesive film may be used for the retention of primary dressings; low adherent dressings; or Allevyn hydrocellular hydrophillic polyurethane wound dressings as well as the fixation of tubing and attachment of leg bags, stoma devices, etc.
