Delta-Lite Conformable Cast Tape
When a clinician needs a rigid cast that molds cleanly around wrists, ankles, and small joints, conformability matters as much as strength. Essity's Delta-Lite Conformable fiberglass casting tape is built for exactly that — a fine-weave fiberglass that drapes and wraps without gaps, then cures to a durable, lightweight, radiolucent cast. It's a staple in orthopedic clinics, urgent care, and emergency departments where fast, reliable immobilization is the goal.
The tape offers a working window of roughly three to five minutes before it sets, giving you room to position and smooth the roll before it firms up. Weight-bearing is typically possible within about 20–30 minutes of application, and because the material is water-resistant, patients can generally shower once the cast has fully hardened (with appropriate padding underneath). The fiberglass construction stays breathable and considerably lighter than traditional plaster.
Roll widths in this collection range from 2-inch and 3-inch options for pediatric limbs and smaller joints up to 4-inch rolls for forearms, lower legs, and larger builds — all in 4-yard lengths. Color is a genuine practical choice here, not just decoration: the classic White (6822A, 6823A, 6824A) keeps things clinical, while Light Blue (5902), Red (5932), Neon Yellow (6032), and Black (6064) help kids stay engaged and make casts easier to spot for wear and cleanliness checks.
Delta-Lite Conformable pairs with the same fiberglass application technique used across the Delta-Lite line. If you're comparing options, the Delta-Lite Plus tape offers an alternative fiberglass formulation, while Delta-Cast and Delta-Dry round out casting and cast-liner needs. For soft undercast padding, see Delta-Rol.
