Drive Medical, formerly known as Drive Devilbiss Healthcare, is a leading manufacturer of mobility aids from canes and crutches to walkers, rollators, and wheelchairs. Drive mobility equipment combines durable steel and aluminum construction with ergonomic design to produce comfortable, lightweight mobility equipment that is easy to use at home or when traveling. Drive equipment enhances your stability and safety with superior design elements such as adjustable heights, reliable brakes, and flexible indoor/outdoor options that empower independence wherever you are. Honest Medical is proud to offer a wide range of Drive mobility aids in the following categories:

Types of Drive Mobility Equipment

  • Canes and Crutches: Choose from a variety of canes including offset canes or quad canes or folding canes that are ideal for travel. Canes have non-slip tips and are adjustable to ensure a perfect height. The crutches include aluminum frame underarm or forearm crutches that are lightweight, durable and affordable. They feature non-skid tips to ensure stability, are adjustable at one-inch increments, and can support up to 350 lbs.
  • Walkers: Drive walkers are lauded for their durable aluminum construction that supports up to 350 lbs., with heavy duty bariatric models also available. These walkers fold easily for storage and offer adjustable heights and comfortable ergonomic grips. The available options include 2-wheel models and those with seats. The walkers all fold easily for travel and are ideal for loved ones with chronic mobility issues or those recovering from surgery or injury.
  • Rollators: Drive rollators are 4-wheel walker-type mobility aids that offer the same Drive durability and safety features, including sturdy, lightweight construction and reliable brakes. The Rollator features include cushioned seats, locking brakes and storage areas that allow the user to carry personal necessities wherever they go. They also feature height-adjustable handles and unique folding mechanisms that can be operated using one hand.
  • Wheelchairs: Drive offers a variety of wheelchair models depending on your needs. The main categories include manual, transport, or power with specialized options for mobility restrictions and weight tolerance. There are also safety features such as seatbelts, push-to-lock wheels and tipping prevention. Most Drive wheelchairs can be folded for easy storage in the trunk for car trips or in closets at home. Many models are available with adjustable features such as armrests, seat heights and leg rests that swing away. The following are the main wheelchair types:
  • Transport: The Aluminum Transport and the Fly Lite models are designed to assist caregivers with easy portability. They are great for travel whether locally to the doctor or flying for a vacation. They are also good if a temporary solution is needed. They are not meant for self-propulsion and must be pushed by another person.
  • Manual: Drive Medical makes several different models of manual wheelchairs, including the Blue Streak and Silver Sport 1, which are designed for everyday use. This type has large rear wheels that allow the patient to maneuver the chair independently. Choices include specialized models suited to outdoor/indoor use, bariatric models, and options such as reclining backs and flip-back arms.
  • Power: These battery-powered, motorized wheelchairs are categorized according to the type of drive they have per the following: front-wheel drive models (FWD) are excellent for rough terrain and inclines; mid-wheel drive (MWD) is for indoor use with small spaces and tight turns; and rear-wheel drive (RWD) is best for distances and a smooth ride at fast speeds.
  • Bathroom Mobility and Safety Aids: Drive Medical also offers other types of mobility aids including shower chairs and bath benches, toilet safety rails, and grab bars. These aids are easily installed and can help increase safe navigation in the bathroom and throughout your home.
