The Marina Medical Soft ECC-S Endocervical Biopsy Sampler offers a gentler alternative to traditional curettes for collecting tissue samples from the cervix. Designed specifically for women with a shallow, short, or narrowed cervix (stenotic cervix), the Soft ECC-S features a smaller sized, tapered KYLON® fabric pad at the tip. This soft, blunt-shaped head allows for easier and more comfortable insertion into the cervical canal. During a colposcopy or evaluation of abnormal vaginal bleeding, the Soft ECC-S can be used to collect abundant trans-epithelial tissue samples. As the device is inserted, the KYLON® fabric gently abrades the surface cells, collecting the sample within the fabric basket. This sterile, single-use device is an effective and comfortable option for endocervical biopsies.
