Product Details

Molnlycke Melgisorb Plus Calcium Alginate Dressing is a sterile, highly absorbent wound dressing made from calcium alginate fibers. It works by absorbing excess exudate from the wound bed, which helps to maintain a moist environment conducive to healing. The dressing contains a calcium alginate core that gels upon contact with wound exudate, forming a soft and cohesive gel that conforms to the wound bed. This gel creates a moist environment that supports wound healing. Molnlycke Melgisorb Plus Calcium Alginate Dressing is easy to apply and remove, and it can be used with or without a secondary dressing. It is suitable for use on a variety of wound types, including infected wounds, and it can be left in place for up to seven days, depending on the level of exudate.

  • Melgisorb® Plus Calcium Alginate Dressing is a sterile, absorbent calcium alginate dressing for moderately to heavily exuding partial- to full-thickness wounds
  • Forms a soft gel on contact with wound exudate, providing a moist wound environment conducive to healing
  • Does not adhere to the wound site, reducing trauma in situ and at dressing changes
