Mepitel® Ag is a gentle wound contact layer – for when you need an antimicrobial action to reduce bioburden in the wound. It's designed for a wide range of exuding wounds such as skin tears, skin abrasions, sutured/surgical wounds, partial thickness burns, partial and full thickness grafts, lacerations, diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers and arterial ulcers. Mepitel Ag has been shown to inactivate wound relevant pathogens – bacteria and fungi – within four hours and for up to 8 days, as shown in vitro and acts as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or re-infection.

• Antimicrobial wound contact layer with Safetac® technology
• Designed for a wide range of exuding wounds such as skin tears, skin abrasions, sutured/surgical wounds, partial thickness burns, partial and full thickness grafts, lacerations, diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers and arterial ulcers
• Silver sulphate is added to the dressing as a preservative to inhibit or reduce microbial growth on the dressing
• Can be left in place, while a secondary layer is changed more frequently
